Should I re-ink my Self-Inker Pad or replace it? print

Either will extend the life of your Self-Inker indefinitely. If re-inking, always use a water-based Rubber Stamp Ink. Solvent based inks will destroy both the pad and the rubber die.
Also, you should be aware that re-inking the pad leads to a high quantity of ink on the surface area of the pad because the ink cannot sufficiently seep into the pad material resulting in a poor imprint. Original replacement pads are electronically inked guaranteeing that the ink is evenly spread in the pad.
