What is the difference between brass and steel printers' type for hot stamping?
Brass type is an economical, general purpose type for stamping into most soft materials. Brass type outlasts softer alloy metals like zinc and lead and holds up well when stamping under heat and/or pressure. Steel type is unmatched in durability and is ideal for marking harder plastics or for longer production runs.
