Self-Inking Stamps typically provide thousands of imprints before re-inking. The life expectancy of an ink pad depends on several factors: frequency of use, absorbency of the surface being stamped and storage conditions (eg. temperature and humidity). Self-inker pads can be either re-inked or replaced with fresh inked pads.

Pre-Inked Stamps hold a greater amount of ink than self-inkers and will provide considerably more imprints before re-inking. Simply remove the handle, squeeze MaxLight ink into the stamp and let sit overnight ... you're ready for thousands more impressions.
