Why are you charging us for rush courier services?
That's a good question. Let's try and answer it.
On behalf of our customers we have been able to negotiate VERY favourable rates from Fedex on their Expedited Service. The result is that we are able to provide air express service at less than ground rates.
We recently had a customer ask this very question. They were located in Courtney, BC (a city 220 km north of Victoria on Vancouver Island). Their order for 7 Name Badges was received on a Friday, shipped the next Monday and received the following day. The shipping charge was $12.70.
The charge via Purolator Ground (for which we also have very good rates) would have been $22.38 (5 day service). The charges via the various Postal services would have been: Regular Parcel Post $15.45 (up to 13 days); XpressPost $17.88 (up to 12 days); Priority Post $42.19 (up to 9 days).
It has always been our belief that stamps and badges are needed as soon as possible as you can seldom forecast their need. To that extent we try our best to get our products to you as soon as possible at a reasonable shipping cost.
